Sharing my handmade jewelry, scarves, origami, and other creations. This is a place for crafters to exchange ideas and share our work, techniques, and thoughts on gifting vs. selling, with each other.
Anybody use Etsy much? I found them through teacherspet. It looks like it's a community just for selling and buying crafts items, but I'm not sure how effective it is.
I know a few people who have stores there, and I've heard generally favorable things from them. And I've only heard good things from people who have bought things there. I'm thinking of opening up a store of my own.
Hi zandperl, Thanks for the nice comment on my blog. I've been on Etsy for just over a year. It's a nice site, and the sales are okay. The sales are not super fantastic, but pretty good.
Using mainly just the Web to sell, I have found a combination is what brings the income up to an acceptable level. I mean, my own website, eBay, Etsy and a couple of other sites. You get a sale here, a sale there, and pretty soon you see a reasonable monthly income.
hmm i dont know but Nikki might at nikis ventures.
